Urvi Jaani's Birth Story
"I joined Birth N Beyond's Pregnancy yoga in my 5th month and it created so much positive difference that I want to share the same for the benefit of others.
The sessions and Dr Dhwani’s consultation helped me overcome all the pregnancy fears that I had as I am I first time mom and staying in a nuclear family
It gave me a lot confidence in my body and helped live through the pregnancy with a very active and healthy lifestyle till the last day.I used to drive alone till the centrer till the last week for the class.
The biggest boon was that after a few sessions my back pain was gone and i was really happy. And could lead my day to day life with ease and confidence."
Urvi was in labour for 14 hours which is a no easy task but we at Birth n Beyond are happy to have helped her through this time.
"I delivered healthy baby boy on 21 st July ..
My due date was around the 20th of July and I was waiting for natural labour pain to happen which was not happening and doctor advised me to get admitted on 20 th July to induce labour.
Like any first time mom I had fear of inducing labour pain ..however Dr.Dhwani Shah's guidance and support really helped me a lot .I did almost 50 deep squats in labor and an hour before going to the hospital. As i reached my water bag broke and natural labour started.
I was in labour for 14 hrs but it wasnt as bad as people had told me. Doctor gave me epidural after I was 3cm dilated.
When in labour i did counting and breathing excersise which helped to be calm throughout the night. My contractions from the start were coming every 4 to 5 mins and it would last for 40 seconds approx so my hubby was counting each second which mentally helped me to overcome it .
At around 7 am i got high fever- the doctor was worried as i had dilated not more thn 4 cm but they decided to wait for few more hours .At around 9 am i felt some vagina discharge which was green color and the doctor advised immediate C section as what was being discharged was baby's potty and they dint want to risk it. As they prepared me for the OT the doctors saw that I was fully dilated and they could see the baby's head, they urged me to give one try, one push.My doctor and I gave our 100 percent and baby was out in few seconds :)
It was a miracle for me as after getting ready for a c-section,normal delivery happened. :)
As she had said in a few labour and exercise class we just have to keep pushing and not give in .It more or less a mental game. For first time mothers Labour class really helps. It makes you ready and aware of what can happen on your D day. ."
Thanks Dhwani for all your guidance and tips.It really made a difference in my birthing experience.
